No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chance of winning. These Official Rules govern prize-awarding shows in The Crowd and form part of the Terms of Use.

Open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who hold a verified account. Employees of the Sponsor, their immediate families, and members of their households are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entrants are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where they live.
Open the app before a scheduled show begins and join the lobby. Entry is free. You must be present and playing when a round starts to score in that round. There is no entry fee and no purchase requirement of any kind.
Winners are determined by skill, not chance. Each question has been put to a group of survey respondents in advance, and the answers they gave most often form the board. Your score reflects how accurately you predict those answers and how well you manage the game's rules. Prizes are awarded on merit; no element of the outcome is determined by lot or random draw.
A show is played over a series of timed rounds. In each round you are given one survey question and may submit a limited number of answers before the round closes. An answer scores according to how many survey respondents gave it, so the more popular your answer, the more points you earn.
Play is elimination-based. Answers that do not appear on the board, and answer slots left empty, count against a limited allowance of misses; a player who exceeds that allowance is out of the show. Bonuses may be awarded for accuracy, for consecutive correct answers, and for finishing a show with part of that allowance unused. A revive, where a player holds one, returns them to play. Revives are earned free by inviting friends who join, and may also be included with optional paid items.
Using a revive does not increase a player's score or improve their chance of winning a prize. It only returns them to play. No paid item awards points, reveals answers, or otherwise confers an advantage in determining a winner.
The exact format in force — the number of rounds, the length of each round, how many answers may be submitted, the size of the miss allowance, and the value of any bonus — is displayed in the app and may be changed as the game develops. The format that applies to a show is the one published in the app at the time that show begins, and it is the same for every player in that show.
Answers are matched automatically. The system accepts common variations including plurals, articles, and recognised synonyms. It cannot recognise every possible phrasing. All matching decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.
Some shows award cash prizes. Whether a given show carries a prize, the total prize pool, how many places are paid, and how the pool is divided are announced in the app before that show begins. Those details vary from show to show and may change at any time. Entry is always free and no purchase is ever required to enter, win, or claim a prize.
Prizes are awarded on the final standings for the show, subject to the eligibility conditions in these Rules and to review. Before any prize is paid, the Sponsor reviews the result for fair play — including automation, duplicate or shared accounts, collusion between players, exploitation of a defect, and any other breach of the Terms of Use. Where the Sponsor reasonably believes a result was not achieved fairly, it may void the score, withhold the prize, and award it to the next eligible player.
Prizes are personal to the winner, are not transferable, and no cash alternative or substitution is offered, except that the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Placings outside the paid positions for a show do not win a prize.
If two or more players finish on the same score, the tie is broken in favour of the player who submitted their last scoring answer earliest. If a tie remains, the prizes for the affected positions are combined and divided equally between the tied players.
Winners are notified in the app within seven days of the show. To claim, you must confirm your identity and eligibility and supply the payment details we request within 30 days of that notification. A prize that is not claimed within 30 days is forfeited. The Sponsor may require a signed declaration of eligibility before paying a prize.
Winners are solely responsible for any taxes arising from a prize and for reporting it to the relevant authorities. Where the law requires it, the Sponsor will collect tax information before making a payment and may withhold amounts it is obliged to withhold.
The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant, void any score, and withhold any prize where it reasonably believes a player has used automation, run multiple accounts, colluded with other players, exploited a defect, tampered with the app, or otherwise breached the Terms of Use.
If a show cannot be completed because of a technical failure or any other cause outside the Sponsor's reasonable control, the Sponsor may suspend, postpone, or cancel it. Where a show is cancelled after it has begun, the Sponsor may award prizes on the basis of standings at the point of interruption, or carry the prize pool into a later show, at its discretion and acting in good faith.
Except where prohibited by law, accepting a prize permits the Sponsor to use the winner's username, avatar, level, and placement in connection with the show and its promotion, without further payment.
By entering, you agree that the Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected entries, network failures, device faults, or any loss arising from participation, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
The Sponsor may amend these Official Rules. Changes take effect for shows held after the amended Rules are published in the app and on this page.
